Goals
- Identify publicly owned locations in Palmer Township, which can be improved.
- Prioritize locations for improvement in 2013 and beyond.
- Remove undesirable plants and debris. Prune plants where appropriate.
- Consider planting vegetation that would beautify each area.
Locations for improvement in 2012
- The north side of the bike path from Bar-Don Lanes towards Stones Crossing Road.
- Both sides of Greenwood Avenue at the Post Office. On both sides of the street there are possible gardens between the curb and the chair link fence. The first step is to add leaf compost to the areas. The second step is to mix the soil and the compost. The third step is to add plants and water them.
Involvement by volunteers
- Plant vegetation that would add to those that are currently growing.
- Water the newly planted vegetation which do not have well developed root systems yet.
- Pick up metal cans, bottles, paper, plastic, and debris while moving through all areas of Palmer Township.
