2010 Summer Recreation Program
Palmer Township's summer recreation program will begin on MONDAY, JUNE 21, 2010 and will run for six weeks. You must register for this program at our Charles Chrin Community Center. There is a fee this year of $50 per child which will be collected at the time of registration. Please go to the Community Center's web site to view the registration process. Children of ages 5 to 13 are invited to participate.
There are two sessions during the day. The first session is from 9:00 a.m. to noon and the second is from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Children can come to the park in the morning, leave at noon for lunch and return for the afternoon session. This program will be held at Old Orchard Park, Fairview Park, Stephens Street Park, Wolf's Run Park and Keystone Park. Feel free to take your child to any one of the five parks, but please limit your child's attendance to only one park.
Monday and Wednesday sessions are held at Fairview and Old Orchard Parks; Tuesdays is held at Stephens Street and Wolf's Run Parks; Thursdays at Stephens Street and Keystone Parks and Fridays sessions rotates from park to park. On rainy days activities will be held at the community center.
The annual summer-end picnic will be held on Friday, July 30th at Fairview Park. You will be notified throughout the summer of other special events. If you have any questions about the program please contact Diane Grube at the Palmer Municipal Building at 610-253-7191.
