The township's 2008 summer program will begin on June 17th and will continue through August 8th. Children ages 5 to 13 years old are invited to participate. There are two sessions during the day. The first session will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The second session will be from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Children can come to the park in the morning, go home for lunch and return for the afternoon session. This program will be held at Old Orchard Park, Wolf's Run Park, Stephens Street Park and Fairview Park. Children can participate at any one of the parks; however, please limit the child's attendance to only one park per week. The calendar of events are given to parents when they sign-up.
Children will participate in arts and crafts, field days, tournaments, games and field trips. The annual picnic will be scheduled by the program staff. This picnic will mark the close of the eight week program.

For the safety of your children the following is offered.
Due to some problems that occurred last year during the eight week Arts and Crafts Program we would like to incorporate some new rules and regulations so we can all have a safe and more enjoyable summer program at our Playgrounds.
If your child is participating in our Playground Program and would have to leave during the session, with your permission, please inform the instructor as to when your child will be leaving and by what means of transportation.
If your child is participating in our Playground Program and rides his/her bicycle to the park area, please inform the instructor that your child has your permission to leave whenever he/she wants to.
If your child is participating in our Playground Program and walks to the park area, please inform the instructor that your child has your permission to leave whenever he/she wants to.
We need to know if your child is to stay at the park area or is allowed to leave. If you give them permission to leave the area we can not be responsible once the child leaves the park area.
If your child is to stay at the park, please inform your child of this rule as well as the instructor.
