The following is the process that needs to be followed when appling for a fence installation permit.

	A plot plan showing the location of the fence on the property (see sketch below).
	Indicate the type of fence including height and style.
	Indicate the cost of the fence material. The permit price will be based on this cost. The fee is to be paid at the time of application submittal.
	If a contractor is installing the fence, please supply the contractor's name, address and telephone number.
	The completed application is submitted to the zoning officer for approval. The zoning officer has 15 days in which to approve or deny the application.
	If approved, the permit and a copy of the application will be mailed to the applicant. Once permit is received work may begin.
	If denied, the zoning officer will contact the applicant to let them know if and why the application was denied.
	Upon completion of the project a final inspection is required. Please call the building department to schedule an appointment.
