The following are the inspection procedures.
- No permit will be issued until permanent lot pins or monuments are in place
- No permit will be issued until a curb (where applicable) elevation is obtained and marked on site
- The following phases of construction require a call for inspection by the builder. At least twenty-four hours notification is required.
- Footings (includes excavation, casting forms, rebars, etc.)
- Foundation (including bolt replacement, damp-proofing and/or water-proofing). If foundation is backfilled without an inspection, it will be required to be dug out and work will be stopped until an inspection is made.
- Framing - includes nuts and washers on sill plates.
- Rough plumbing - walls will be required to be reopened if the rough plumbing has not been inspected.
- Insulation - insulation inspections will use Act 222 - The Building Energy Conservation Act.
- Sewer hookup and air test
- Final - upon completion of project
- Any of the above inspections that are not called for will result in the dismantling of any construction necessary to make these inspections.
- Curbing (where required) on all street frontages, and paved driveways must be constructed prior to the issuance of a certificate of occupancy or the use or occupancy of any newly constructed principal use structure on any building lot.
