We are finding that there is a lot of deviation or misinformation or a break in one of the communication links between plan drawing, review and implementation in the field, and to that end, starting on June 1, 2002, the Palmer Township building department will require two (2) sets of structural plans to be presented for review. These plans must be on 24" x 36" sheets of paper so as to be more easily read. We will return any plan on other than a 24" x 36" format.

Any necessary corrections will be noted on one set of plans and returned to the contractor for correction. Upon our receipt of corrected and completed plans, we will stamp them for approval and return them for field use. An approved set must be available on site for us to reference during any required inspection.

Any deviation from the approved plans will be cause for a stop work action and no further construction may occur until the deviations are reviewed and/or released by the building inspector.

Please take note of this notice and be aware that our limited number of personnel and ever increasing workload makes it imperative that everyone follows this directive so that no time, money or effort is lost and a smooth transition between permit issuance and a certificate of occupancy can be realized.

Chief Code Enforcement Officer
