Palmer Planning Commission

October 12, 2004

The regular monthly meeting of the Palmer Township Planning Commission was held on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. with all members in attendance.  Also present were Planning Director Amanda Jensen, Engineer Brian Dillman and Solicitor Charles Bruno.  Chairman Young convened the meeting and led those present in the Pledge to the Flag.

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING – On motion by Grandinetti, seconded by Stoneback, and agreed by all, the Commission approved the minutes of September.

PARKVIEW ESTATES – Lot Line Adjustment – A representative of Keller Engineer was present with the plan for a lot line adjustment in Park View Estates for lots 137 and 138.  The proposed plan calls for 1400+/- sq. ft. to be transferred from Lot 137 to Lot 138.  There are no storm water management issues.  Township engineer’s letter was reviewed with no problems or questions as well as no departmental issues.  On motion by Grandinetti, seconded by Rickert, and agreed by all, the Commission recommended final approval by the Board of Supervisors for the lot line adjustment for Park View Estates subject to all engineering comments being satisfied in their letter dated October 7, 2004.

At this time there was lengthy discussion on the overlay districts, Rt. 248 and William Penn Highway areas.  The Commission discussed reworking the GC district; eliminating these overlay districts and revamping the overlay districts.   Jensen told the Commission that she had a meeting with Howard Kutzler of Bethlehem Township this day and they are in the process of developing an overlay district.  She has received their plan and she will be reviewing and will then discuss it with this Commission.  Commission will wait to discuss this further with Jensen before making any recommendations to the Board of Supervisors.

On motion by Grube, seconded by Stoneback, and agreed by all, the meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
