MINUTES
OF ZONING HEARING BOARD MEETING
The zoning
hearing board of Palmer
Township met on Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at 7:30 P.M. in the Palmer Memorial
Library, One Weller Place,
to hear the following appeals. In
attendance were Nick Noel III, zoning board solicitor, Dan Caravetta,
board chairman, Charles Roseberry and Cherie Kavanaugh, board members, John A. Embardino,
zoning officer, and court reporter Ted Rewak. The media was not represented.
The minutes of December 7, 2004 hearings
were approved on a motion by Charles Roseberry and
seconded by Cherie Kavanaugh with all in agreement.
A motion was made by Charles Roseberry, seconded by Cherie Kavanaugh,
with all in agreement, to retain Nick Noel as zoning hearing board solicitor at
prevailing rates.

7:30 P.M. Lena M. Kiefer, 3230 Oregon Street, is
seeking a variance from sections 190-194 B (4) (b) and 190-211 E (15) (q) to
construct a deck or porch in excess of allowable size in a front yard of a
corner property in an MDR district.
Witnesses: Lena
Kiefer.
A motion to
approve the variance as requested for an opened deck on the southwest corner of
the home, not to extend beyond the wall of the structure facing Berks Street,
and having no roof was made by Charles Roseberry,
seconded by Cherie Kavanaugh, with all in agreement.

7:40 P.M. Davis Sign Systems, Boonton, NJ, representing
Carrabba’s Italian Grill, is seeking a variance from
section 190-184 A (4) (a), to install wall signs in excess of allowable area on
a lot with more than one commercial establishment at 2471 Park Avenue, located
in a PC district.
This hearing was
continued to February 1, 2005,
per written request of applicant.
Having no
further business to discuss, the hearing was adjourned.
