MINUTES OF ZONING HEARING

 

The zoning hearing board of Palmer Township met on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 7:30 P.M. in the Palmer Memorial Library, One Weller Place, to hear the following appeals.  In attendance were Nick Noel III, zoning board solicitor, Charles Roseberry, board chairman, Cherie Kavanaugh and Daniel Caravetta, board members, Robert Gibbons alternate, John A. Embardino, zoning officer, and court reporter Ted Rewak.

 

A MOTION TO ACCEPT AS AMENDED, THE MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 7 ZONING HEARING, WAS MADE BY CHERIE KAVANAUGH, SECONDED BY DANIEL CARAVETTA, WITH ALL IN FAVOR.

 

05-53     7:30 p.m.  Shawn C. Rosa, Allentown, PA, representing Corbin John’s LLC, 661 S. 25th Street, is seeking relief from section 190-184 A (4) (a), to install wall signs in excess of area allowed on a lot with multiple commercial establishments at the Palmer Town Center in a GC district.

MOTION:  CHERIE KAVANAUGH MADE A MOTION TO GRANT THE RELIEF AS REQUESTED FOR SIGNAGE ON TWO WALL FACES AT 29.81 SQUARE FEET IN AREA EACH, AND TO INCLUDE A TIMER TO TURN OFF SIGNS AT 11 P.M.  DANIEL CARAVETTA SECONDED THE MOTION, WITH ALL IN FAVOR

 

05- 54  7:40 p.m. Michael Mancino, representing Maruca’s Tomato Pies, 759 S. 25th Street, is seeking relief from section 190-184 A (4) (a), to install wall signs in excess of area allowed on a lot with multiple commercial establishments at the Palmer Town Center in a GC district.

MOTION:  DANIEL CARAVETTA MADE A MOTION TO GRANT THE RELIEF AS REQUESTED FOR A 16 SQUARE FOOT WALL SIGN WITH FOUR COLORS, AND TO INCLUDE A TIMER TO TURN OFF SIGNS AT 11 P.M.   CHERIE KAVANAUGH Seconded THE MOTION, WITH ALL IN FAVOR.


 

05-55             7:50 p.m.  Wiley’s United Sign Inc., Nazareth PA, representing Beneficial Finance, 763 S. 25th Street, is seeking relief from section 190-184 A (4) (a), to install wall signs in excess of area allowed on a lot with multiple commercial establishments at the Palmer Town Center in a GC district.

WITNESS:  CAROL MALE, MICHAEL WILEY OF WILEY UNITED SIGN, INC.

MOTION: CHERIE KAVANAUGH MADE A MOTION TO GRANT THE RELIEF AS REQUESTED FOR A 24 SQUARE FOOT, 2 COLOR WALL SIGN, AND TO INCLUDE A TIMER TO TURN OFF SIGNS AT 11 P.M.  DANIEL CARAVETTA Seconded THE MOTION, WITH ALL IN FAVOR.
