MINUTES OF ZONING HEARING BOARD MEETING

 

The zoning hearing board of Palmer Township met on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at 7:30 P.M. in the Palmer Memorial Library, One Weller Place, to hear the following appeals.  In attendance were Nick Noel III, zoning board solicitor, Charles Roseberry, board chairman, Cherie Kavanaugh and Daniel Caravetta, board members, John A. Embardino, zoning officer, Margaret Kennedy, alternate, and court reporter Ted Rewak.

 

A motion to accept the minutes of the October4, 2005 hearings was made by Cherie Kavanaugh, seconded by Daniel Caravetta, with all in favor.

 

05-56 7:30 p.m. Richard and Cynthia Gellock, 3410 Greenway Street, are seeking relief from sections 190-42 E (4) and 190-194 B (4) (b), to construct a front porch with a roof that will encroach upon the setback requirements of a front yard in an MDR district.

WITNESSES:  Richard and Cynthia Gellock, Donald Flyte, 3407 Greenway Street.

A motion was made by Daniel Caravetta and seconded by Cherie Kavanaugh, with all in favor, to approve the request as presented with the condition that this front porch is not to be enclosed.

 

05-57 7:40 p.m. Heidi Schoentube, 2664 Eldridge Avenue, is seeking a zoning variance to establish a bakery and cake decoration business as a conditional use pursuant to section 190-251, at 2645 Nazareth Road, located in an MDR district.

THIS HEARING WAS CONTINUED TO DECEMBER 6, 2005, AT THE REQUEST OF THE APPLICANT. 

 

05-58        7:50 p.m. Interstate Development Services, Inc. for Commerce Bank, of Mount Laure, N.J. is seeking relief from section 190-92 D (1) (b), to build a freestanding banking facility not meeting the required 80 foot setback along a minor arterial street in a PC district at the Palmer Park Mall.

AFTER TESTIMONY WAS PRESENTED BY THE APPLICANT AND PUBLIC COMMENT WAS TAKEN, THIS HEARING WAS CONTINUED TO THE DECEMBER 6, 2005 HEARING FOR PURPOSES OF DELIBERATION AND THE RECORD KEPT OPEN FOR POTENTIAL PRESENTATION OF FURTHER TESTIMONY.
