MINUTES OF ZONING HEARING ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2004
The Zoning Hearing Board of Palmer Township met on Tuesday, February 3, 2004, at 7:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the Palmer Memorial Library. In attendance were Chairman, Dan Caravetta, board members, Charles Roseberry and Cherie Kavanaugh, Jim Raudenbush, acting zoning officer, Ted Rewak, court reporter, and solicitor, Nicholas Noel, with no newspaper representative in attendance.
The minutes of January 7, 2004 were approved on a motion by Charles Roseberry, second by Cherie Kavanaugh, with all in agreement.
04-02 7:30 P.M. Pete Giacoumopoulos is seeking relief from sections 190-174 B, 190-180 B, and 190-184 (3) (a) to erect wall signs that exceed size, lighting, and color requirements, on the City Diner at 1061 25th Street.
The7:30 hearing was postponed until
March 2nd. Mr. Giacoumopoulos waved his right to have his hearing
within 60 days, allowing him to postpone the hearing to next month with all
board members in agreement.

7:40 P. M.
Gregory and Caryn Chrin are seeking relief from sections 190-211 E (15)
(a) [1], 190-211E 15 (a) [2] [a] [i] and [ii], 190-33 E (3) and (4), to erect a
barn accessory structure in a front yard of 3333 Fischer Road, located in an
MDR zoning district.
Witnesses: Gregory Chrin, and
Craig Weintraub
At the start of the hearing
Craig Weintraub stated that they would not be seeking a variance for sections
190-33-E, and 190-194-c(d)[2]. Charles Roseberry made a motion to grant a
variance for 190-211-e(15)(a)[i] to have an accessory building in the front
yard. A motion was also made for
190-211-E(a)[2][a][ii] that would allow Mr. Chrin to have a 900 sq ft accessory
building. In regards to section 190-211-E(a)2[a] it was felt that the building
should not exceed 15’ in height.
The motion was 2nd
by Cherie Kavanaugh with a vote of no, Dan Carravetta voted yes with the motion
passing 2 votes to 1.

P.M. Joseph, Pat, and Robert Rizzolino
are seeking a variance and interpretation to lease 2000 square feet of an
existing structure for an additional commercial use at 2210 Corriere Road. Sections 190-191A and 190-192C apply in this
PIC district.

second by Charles Roseberry to approve a quilting/craft store to be in 2000 sq.
ft. of the existing structure at 2210 Corriere Road.
Having no
further business to discuss, the hearing was adjourned.
