MINUTES OF ZONING HEARING BOARD MEETING

 

The zoning hearing board of Palmer Township met on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at 7:30 P.M. in the Palmer Memorial Library, One Weller Place, to hear the following appeals.  In attendance were Nick Noel III, township solicitor, Dan Caravetta, board chairman, Charles Roseberry and Cherie Kavanaugh, board members, John A. Embardino, zoning officer, and the media was not represented.

 

04-02                  7:30 P.M. Pete Giacoumopoulos is seeking relief from sections 190-174 B, 190-180 B, and 190-184 (3) (a) and reference to definitions in section 190-13, to erect wall signs that exceed size, lighting and color requirements, on the City Diner at 1061 25th Street, located in a GC zone.

THIS HEARING WAS CONTINUED TO MAY 4, 2004.

 

04-10                     7:40 P.M.  Holly Strausser is seeking variances from sections 190-174 B and 190-

267 B to keep neon window signage exceeding size, lighting and color requirements at Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches, 3140 William Penn Highway in the William Penn Overlay District.

04-11                  7:50 P.M.  Peter and Laurie Lahoski, is seeking variances from sections 190-42A(1), 190-42C and 190-42E(4) for lot density, depth and front yard setbacks, on a lot located at 419 Avon Street in an MDR zone.

WITNESSES:  ATTORNEY TED LEWIS, PETER AND LAURIE LAHOSKI, MR. AND MRS. JAMES DICKER, MR. JOHN CORRELL.

04-12                  8:00 P.M.  Atlantic Equity Van Buren Road, LLC is seeking a variance from section 190-42 B requiring a minimum lot width of 40 feet at the existing street right of way in a proposed subdivision in an MDR zone.

WITNESSES:  ATTORNEY DANIEL COHEN, DON FREDERICKSON, BRETT OWINGS,  ROBERT SMITH.

MOTION BY CHARLES ROSEBERRY TO APPROVE REQUEST AS SUBMITTED.  MOTION SECONDED BY CHERIE KAVANAUGH WITH ALL IN AGREEMENT.

 

04-13                  8:10 P.M.  Albert Marron is seeking relief from impervious and building coverage on a lot in a HI district to develop a self-storage facility at 2711 Freemansburg Avenue.

WITNESSES:  ALBERT MARRON, DON FREDERICKSON, ATTORNEY CARL KLINE, DURT ZUHLKE.

MOTION BY CHERIE KAVANAUGH TO GRANT REQUEST AS SUBMITTED.  MOTION SECONDED BY CHARLES ROSEBERRY WITH ALL IN AGREEMENT.
