MINUTES OF ZONING HEARING BOARD MEETING

 

The zoning hearing board of Palmer Township met on Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at 7:30 P.M. in the Palmer Memorial Library, One Weller Place, to hear the following appeals.  In attendance were Nick Noel III, zoning board solicitor, Dan Caravetta, board chairman, Charles Roseberry and Cherie Kavanaugh, board members, John A. Embardino, zoning officer and court reporter Karen Mengel.  The media was not represented.

 

04-25            7:30 P.M.  Richard Klementovich, 350 Springfield Way, is seeking a variance from section 190-211 E (7) (c) [1] to place a fence in excess of 4 feet in height, less than 1:1 ration of open to structural area and non-wooden materials in a front yard of a MDR district.

Witnesses: Richard Klementovich, Katie Lindseman.

A motion to deny the request as presented was made by Charles Roseberry and seconded by Cherie Kavanaugh with all in favor.

 

04-26            7:40 P.M.  Teri and Richard Singer, 2648 Northwood Avenue, are seeking a variance from section 190-168 D (4), to construct a horseshoe shape driveway with two entrances with less than 50’ of separation in an MDR district.

Witnesses:  Teri and Richard Singer, Paul Brown, Bill Gischel.

A motion to deny the request as presented was made by Cherie Kavanaugh and seconded by Charles Roseberry with all in favor.

 

04-27            7:50 P.M.  Bina Kalavant, 2567 Nazareth Road, is seeking a special exception per section 190-190-38, to conduct a home occupation for music research and a home business office in a base MDR zone in the Route 248 overlay district.

Witnesses:  Bina and Kadar Kalavant, Tim Klemt.

A motion to approve the request with all home occupation requirements to be met was made by Charles Roseberry and seconded by Cherie Kavanaugh with all in favor.

 

04-19            8:00 P.M.  Anthony S. Marina, 3342 Kaywood Drive is seeking relief from sections 190-42 A (1) and 190-42 C for lot area and depth, to construct a single family residence on a vacant lot in an MDR district at 1312 Wayne Street.  This is a continued hearing from June 1, 2004.

Witnesses:  Anthony Marina, Louis and Bernice Beahm, Daniel Cohen Esq.

A motion to grant the request as presented with all setback requirements to be met, was made by Cherie Kavanaugh and seconded by Charles Roseberry and all in favor.


04-28            8:10 P.M.  John A. Crescenzi, 3412 Jones Boulevard, is seeking a special exception per section 190-38, to operate a home occupation consisting of a computer repair and service business in an MDR zoning district.

Witnesses:  John and Joan Crescenzi

A motion to grant the special exception with all requirements for a home occupation to be met, was made by Charles Roseberry and seconded by Cherie Kavanaugh with all in favor

04-29            8:20 P.M.  Lori and Robert Bauer, 2700 Bushkill Street, are seeking relief from section 190-199 C (1) (a) [1] and [2] for side yard setbacks to build an addition to their residence in an MDR zone.

Witnesses:  Lori and Robert Bauer

A request for a continuance to August 3, 2004 was made and granted.

 

04-30            8:30 P.M.  Keplers Fuel Company, 2010 Maywood Street, is seeking use variances and setback and buffer yard relief from sections190-112, 190-113, 190-114, 190-116 F, and 190-194 D, to subdivide land for residential use in an LI zone.

Witnesses: Kevin McFadden, Tom McFadden.

A request for a continuance to August 3, 2004 was made and granted.

 

Having no further business to discuss, the hearing was adjourned.
