MINUTES OF ZONING HEARING BOARD MEETING

 

The zoning hearing board of Palmer Township met on Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at 7:30 P.M. in the Palmer Memorial Library, One Weller Place, to hear the following appeals.  In attendance were Nicholas Noel III, zoning board solicitor, Charles Roseberry, board chairman, board members Cherie Kavanaugh and Daniel Caravetta, and Robert Gibbons, alternate, John A. Embardino, zoning officer, and court reporter Bonnie Becker.

 

A motion to approve the amended minutes of December 4, 2007 was made by Cherie Kavanaugh, seconded by Charles Roseberry, with Daniel Caravetta abstaining and the motion passed with two votes in agreement.

 

Cherie Kavanaugh made a motion to reappoint Charles Roseberry as zoning board chairman.  The motion was seconded by Daniel Caravetta with Charles Roseberry abstaining and the motion was passed.

 

Daniel Caravetta made a motion to retain Nicholas Noel III, Esq. as zoning board solicitor for the year 2008.  The motion was seconded by Charles Roseberry, will all in agreement.

 

07-46-               7:30 p.m.  Philly Pretzel Factory, located at 665 S. 25th Street in the Palmer Towne Center, is seeking relief from section 190-184 A (4) (a), to install wall signs exceeding the area of signs allowed on a lot with multiple uses, and 190-174 B, limiting the number of colors allowed on signs.  The premises are located in a General Commercial zoning district.

WITNESS:  Brent Schadler.

ACTION:  A motion was made by Daniel Caravetta to grant relief for wall and permanent window signs as requested, except for the contents of decal type signage on the entrance door, which will contain a company logo and hours of operation only.  In addition, a timer is required to turn off illuminated signage at the end of business hours.  The motion was seconded by Cherie Kavanaugh, with all in agreement.

 

Having no further business to discuss, the hearing was adjourned.
