MINUTES OF ZONING HEARING BOARD MEETING

 

The zoning hearing board of Palmer Township met on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at 7:30 P.M. in the Palmer Memorial Library, One Weller Place, to hear the following appeals.  In attendance Nicholas Noel III, Esq., zoning board solicitor, Charles Roseberry, board chairman, Cherie Kavanaugh board member, and Alternate Margaret Kennedy filling in for board member Dan Caravetta, James Raudenbush, zoning officer, and court reporter Ted Rewak. 

 

Cherie Kavanaugh made a motion to accept the minutes of the March 3, 2009, zoning hearings.  The motion was seconded by Margaret Kennedy, with all in agreement.

 

09-06 7:30 p.m.  3901 Freemansburg Ave./ 838 Stones Crossing Rd. B&P Holdings, LLC, 2005 City Line Road, Suite 106 Bethlehem Pa 18017. Is seeking a use variance pursuant to sections 190-37, 38 or 39 to develop lots to be used as a financial institution. The applicant is also seeking relief from parking requirements under section 190-166A and Table 17-1 and is also seeking relief from lot coverage requirements under section 190-42 D.  This property is located in a Medium Density Residential zoning district.

WITNESSES: Joe Piperato III and Dennis Benner from B&P Holdings, Nancy Flemming Remax, Rick Krasley Charles Tuskes and Sons, Frank T. Smith Summit Realty and Management Company, Mike Jeitner Bohler Engineering, Stan Margle, Esq. Representing Mario and Salvator Famularo 3905 Freemansburg Ave., Howard Martin 3828 Haupt St., Felix and Opi Ndukwe 834 stones Crossing Rd., Matthew Benol 2519 Swanson St.

ACTION:  Charles Roseberry made a motion to grant the use variance that was requested for a bank, and relief be given for the proposed 61.8% impervious coverage, along with relief to have a 5’ buffer yard to the western side of the property. Along with the above relief, the parking space shown within the site triangle needs to be relocated and screening/fencing needs to be provided to prevent any vehicle headlights from projecting onto the adjoining property to the north. The motion was seconded by Margaret Kennedy with all in favor.

 

Having no further business to discuss, the hearing was adjourned at 10:50.
