LEGAL NOTICE

 

The Zoning Hearing Board of Palmer Township met on Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at 7:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the Palmer Memorial Library.  In attendance were Chairman Dam Caravetta, board members Charles Roseberry and Cherie Kavanaugh, Liz Protchko, John Embardino, zoning officer, Cliff Lathrop, court reporter, and solicitor, Nick Noel III.  The media was represented by Fred Walters, reporter from the Morning Call.  Chairman Caravetta recused himself from the first hearing for personal reasons.

 

 

03-10 – 7:30 P.M. – Barry Fehnel, T/A Trademark Builders, Inc. requesting a special exception to build a home on a lot of record owned by J. Clem Kline and Sons at 2740 Freemansburg Avenue.  Section 190-199.C., applies in this MDR zone.

03-11 – 7:40 P.M. – Dr. Walter and Cathryn Schuster requesting a continuance of a nonconforming use for a dentist’s office at 3600 Northwood Avenue in a LDR district.  The property is owned by Dr. Ofer Shustik.

03-15 – 8:20 P.M. – Raj Patel, representing Dunkin Donuts, requesting a variance from the 120’ setback at a residential lot line to construct an accessory building on the lot owned by Roche Burgio, 2926 William Penn Highway in a HI district.

APPLICATION DENIED.  Not an accessory use as indicated, but rather a principal use with an accessory store, or a 2nd use for the property.

 

03-16 – 8:30 P.M. – W. Garrett Cremer and Diane C. Cremer, 2723 Guyton Street,  requesting a variance from Section 190.42 of the Ordinance to subdivide the property of Richard and Josephine Hoadley at 2711 Guyton Street and merge it with their property.   The Hoadley property would become a nonconforming lot.  This property is zoned MDR.

Birkland and Attorney James Preston, seeking relief from these sections of  the Palmer Township Ordinance:  190-173;   190-174; 190-179; 190-180; 190-181; 190-183; and 190-184 to install signs at the Palmer Center at William Penn Highway and 25th street in a GC district.
