MINUTES OF ZONING HEARING ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2003

 

 

The Zoning Hearing Board of Palmer Township met on Wednesday November 5, 2003, at 7:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the Palmer Memorial Library.  In attendance were Chairman, Dan Caravetta, board members, Charles Roseberry and Cherie Kavanaugh, John Embardino, zoning officer, Ted Rewak, court reporter, and solicitor, Nicholas Noel, with no media representative present.

 

 

03-39– 7:30 P.M. – Continuation of hearing for John and Mia Melhem, 3667 Mountain view Avenue, requesting relief from section 190-33 E (3) requiring a 40-foot front yard setback in an LDR zone.

 

Witnesses:  John Melhem, represented by Attorney Abe Kassis.

 

A motion by Charles Roseberry to approve a garage addition to the home at a front yard setback off Howie Place of no less than 25 feet to the front property line, was seconded by Cherie Kavanaugh, and unanimously approved by a 3-0 vote.

 

 

03-46- 8:00 P.M. –  Joanna Levy is seeking a special exception to operate a personal training service out of a proposed addition to her home at 2703 Spring Garden Street.  Section 190-38 B applies in this MDR zone.

A motion was made by Cherie Kavanaugh to approve the requested home occupation with a maximum of 4 clients at any one time by appointment only, and restricted to the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturdays, with no parking on the streets and subject to any state and local regulations and licensing requirements.  Motion was seconded by Charles Roseberry and passed by a 3-0 vote.

 

Having no further business to discuss, the hearing was adjourned.
