Chief of Police
Law Enforcement Management Professional to direct, administer, and coordinate operations for Palmer Township, a Northampton County 2nd class township of approximately 20,700 residents. Position reports to Township Manager and Board of Supervisors.
Responsibilities include strategic and tactical management of all police department employees, preparation and adherence to budget requirements, oversight and implementation of policies and procedures, and collaborative efforts with all related agencies and personnel.
Qualifications: Minimum five years experience in law enforcement management required at the level of Lieutenant or above. Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field required, Master’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Military veterans are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be Act 120 certified and have completed most recent Act 180 updates.
