Pat Piece Gardens

Love to garden?  Have some free time?  Want to give back to your community doing something fun?  Palmer Township recently received the gift of a new garden, (a bequest from the estate of Pat “Peggy Lynn” Pierce, long-time Palmer resident), and if you haven’t been to see it yet, you should!  Located at a future second entrance to the Charles Chrin Community Center and incorporating the first leg of a proposed public walking trail, this infant garden is in need of a Garden Steward, or several Stewards!  Palmer Township has been looking for individuals and/or group (Garden Club, etc.) to volunteer to maintain the Pierce Memorial Garden’s planting beds.  Interested respondents will have the opportunity to work with the Landscape Architect who designed the garden, and is also an avid professional gardener herself.  Please contact Diane Grube at the Palmer Township Municipal Building (610) 253-7191 to inquire about meeting dates and volunteer days.
