The Branch offers many adult programs such as free Internet classes, a yearly Senior Fair,
Book Discussions as well as special programs throughout the year. We host the AARP Driver Safety Courses four times a year at the library. We welcome all residents of Palmer Township to stop by the library periodically to see what upcoming events are planned. We value suggestions of topics our residents would like us to offer as far as programming. See Miss Stephanie for any suggestions.
Book Groups: The Palmer Evening Book Group began in June, 2003. It meets the 4th Tuesday of every month, except December from 6:00pm-7:30pm. Discussions are led by Mrs. Adelaide Whittaker, a former employee of the Easton Area Public Library. Mrs. Whittaker is always open for suggestions on books to discuss. We have been privileged to have a few authors actually participate in our discussions via telephone. The group is informal and always welcomes new members.
Internet Classes: The Branch offers free Internet classes. The classes include:
-
First Start: for the very beginner, we play games to develop eye/hand coordination with the “mouse.”
-
Searching the Internet: for patrons who would like to know how to search the web. We focus on
search engines and search directories. Participants must be comfortable using a mouse.
-
Interesting Web Sites: This class offers fun and informative websites to search.
Stop by the library for dates & times for upcoming classes. Class size is limited to 6 participants.
Children's Programs
The Branch offers Story and Craft sessions throughout the year. Each story time session runs for 6 weeks. Every session offers a craft to go along with the story’s theme.
All children must be pre-registered !
