The Berks Street site is located at the end of Berks St. Berks St. is off of Freemansburg Ave. across from Suburban EMS. Grass clippings and not accepted and tree stumps must be less than 12" in diameter.

There is a minor amount of unacceptable material being interspersed and hidden among the yard waste material being dropped off. When the material gets "ground up" this unwanted material contaminates the mulch and seriously threatens the township's ability to sell/use/dispose of it. Consequently, hereinafter, all loads will be throroughly checked and, if "contaminated", must be rejected. PRESSURE TREATED LUMBER, SCRAP LUMBER, BROKEN FURNITURE, WOODEN TOYS, ETC. ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE MATERIALS.

- Car trunk full - $5.00
- Pickup or small utility trailer - $10.00
- Stake body truck - $30.00
- Small dump truck (up to Class 4 window sticker) - $50.00

No large dump trucks allowed. COMTAMINATED LOADS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Note 1: In the event of a serious storm, this facility may open for an additional amount of time. Please call the Municipal Building at 610-253-7191 for information.

Note 2: In the event of heavy rain the site may be closed due to poor ground conditions. It could also be closed during times of extremely cold conditions.

The yard waste facility only accepts leaves, branches and bushes. Tree trunks up to 12" in diameter are also accepted.

No stumps. No lumber or wood scraps. No construction debris. No grass clippings.

Remember.....when it comes to grass clippings, it is best to CUT IT AND LEAVE IT.

NOTE: FREE HARDWOOD MULCH:

During the months of April through September, Palmer will be offering a special service. A front end loader will be available on site the first Saturday of each of these months to help load hardwood mulch for anyone who is interested in taking this material – FOR FREE!! This service will be available as long as the hardwood mulch lasts.
