Project Manager
Experienced Project Manager to collaborate with the Director of Public Services to plan and manage capital projects and strategic initiatives. Will coordinate with engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget. Minimum three years’ experience in project management, preferably within a public works, construction, or municipal government setting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficient in software and tools such as AutoCAD and ArcGIS and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders. Knowledge of MS4 stormwater regulations, NPDES, and related environmental compliance issues is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.

Building Code Board of Appeals
Palmer Township is looking for individuals to fill vacant seats on the Building Code Board of Appeals. The Board of Appeals hears and rules on appeals, requests for variances and extensions of time for the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code. Appeals are based on a claim that the true intent of the act or Uniform Construction Code has been incorrectly interpreted, the provisions of the act or Uniform Construction Code do not fully apply or an equivalent form of construction is to be used. Hearings are held on an as-needed basis.

Individuals shall be qualified by training and experience to pass on matters pertaining to building construction. Training and experience may consist of licensure as an architect or engineer, experience in the construction industry, and training or experience as an inspector or plan reviewer. Environmental Steering Committee Vacancy
The Palmer Township Environmental Steering Committee is looking to fill a current vacancy. The group is an advisory committee to the Board of Supervisors on issues affecting the natural resources within our municipality. The committee runs programs and/or initiatives like Earth Day, electronic ecycling events and township educational programs. Ideal candidates should have a background, interest or experience in environmental sciences or similar fields. The committee meets the 4th Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building Meeting Room. Shade Tree Commission Vacancy
Palmer Township is looking for volunteers to fill a vacancy on our Shade Tree Commission. This Commission provides guidance and information on the location, health and safety of all shade trees located in and along all township lands, roads, and right-of-ways. Ideal candidates should have a background, interest or experience in trees, landscaping, or similar fields, and would need to be available for evening meetings on the last Monday of the month.
