Local Service Tax
The Occupational Privilege Tax has been changed to the Local Services Tax. On January 2, 2007, the Board of Supervisors enacted this new tax at a rate of $52.00.
This tax is for employees of Palmer Township businesses. This tax is paid directly by the employees' employer to the township tax collectors office.
In the event that an individual should earn less than $12,000 in annual salary, wages, commissions or other taxable compensation, that individual may apply for a refund on or before March 1st of the following year that the tax was paid.
